I've heard nothing... bad?

Unlike all the other schools to which I’ve applied, I’ve heard nothing from Bowdoin in terms of an online account for checking decisions, a letter confirming they’ve received my application, or an email of any sort. Nothing.

I called Bowdoin in in late January to ask them why I hadn’t heard from them, and they said they were sending out letters of application confirmation/information shortly… Now it’s mid-March, and I still haven’t received anything from them.

Should I be worried? Has anyone else heard not a peep from Bowdoin since applying? What do I dooooooooo?

That’s a bit odd. I applied January 1. On January 6, I received a confirmation email. Have you tried contacting Admissions again? Best of luck!

Yea, that is pretty weird. I received a confirmation email from them a few weeks after I applied. Also, they don’t release decisions online, just mail.

Hmmm… Well I think it would be in my best interest to call Bowdoin ASAP.

It seems they just forgot about me :(

if you didn’t receive a confirmation e-mail in january then i would definitely call.

i didnt hear anything either, but when i sent an update to my app, they said they added it to my folder, so i assume they got my app anyway…hmmm

yea i didn’t get a confirmation email saying they got my “app”, though they sent me an email that they received my application fee.

My son applied regular decision and got the email saying they received the application fee. I was worried about whether they had received everything they needed for financial aid, so I emailed the admissions office and asked. They replied that all materials had been received and the committee was reading applications and decisions would be made in the coming weeks. I think they just do things very quietly.
