I have searched online and through these threads for an answer, but i couldnt find one. I was wondering how early can you apply to most colleges. I know it may vary, but i just finished my junior year. I really want to apply EA to some schools, and i would love to complete my apps in the summer to ease stress for senior year. I tried searching on commonapp, but they say the (old) deadline has passed.

How early can i apply to most colleges? (Can i apply during the summer?)

Thanks in Advance!

Many colleges don't make their applications available until mid summer. As part of the apps, you also need to get recommendations from your school, and that's usually not possible until the fall, when the counselors and teachers return.

You can, though, fill out your part of the application. You just usually can't complete the application until after school starts in the fall.

Yeah, i forgot about rec. letters

Thanks

I will start filling out the apps (most on common app) and writing my essays and prepare everything though

Great idea! You'll be in wonderful shape for the fall. It's a good idea to ask for recc letters now so teachers can write them over the summer. Colleges usually want reccs from your junior or senior year teachers, and typically it will be your junior year teachers who know you best.
