Ivies in the future? Please?

Hi everyone! Okay.. given these details, what are my chances of admission at the ivy schools (Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Dartmouth, etc.) and/or the following selective institutions: Georgetown, UChicago, Stanford and Northwestern, what are my chances of admission? Given that I am a junior, some scores are not available at this time. But, I am hoping that this will give me some feedback on areas of improvement

Rank: 2/450
GPA: 4.0 (unweighted)
Race: Indian American
PSAT: 223 (M 72, V 73, W 78)

APs
World History- 3 (At my school, sophomore year, no AP classes are offered. Though I am taking the most intense classes at my school, AP World is not available. We were urged to take the test, even though the class is merely honors. Should I retake this exam?)

Classes- Most intense classes (This year I am taking 3 languages (Latin, French, Spanish) & two sciences (AP Chem and Physics). Once again, our school doesn't have an AP US History class, it is taught at an honors level, but we are urged to take the exam. I am slightly nervous about this, as my previous attempt was very disappointing.

Thanks in advance for all of your help! :)

good chance, you have time to improve your SATs :D

also how did you end up with 3 for AP world history whereas you had a 4.0 unweighted gpa?

Our APs don't count in our GPAs. Like I said, the class was taught as an "honors" regents-level class. We were given no preparation. Technically, it's not an AP class. Do you get what I mean? Like, most kids in the class didn't take the AP. :( Yeah, I'm a little embarrassed.

Haha, as to SATs, I just haven't taken them yet. Later this month, but if I'm in the same 2230 range as I was on my PSATs, that'll be a good score to start off with. :)

Thanks for your help.

Do some practice tests for APUSH. I self-studied World History and ended up with a 5... APUSH is harder. Don't retake WH tho.. just don't report the score.

Your extracurricular activities also seem a bit sparse... Key Club/Latin Club/Drama Club doesn't seem as involved as a lot of other applicants to these schools.

Still, it depends on your essays and recs. I'd definitely say you have a strong shot at all those schools.

Thanks so much. Okay, yeah, I've started studying for APUS. :) And you can not report the score? Wow!

Okay, I know what you mean. But my Key Club involvement is really extensive. I hold an International Office.. like I write articles for the International publication and what not. I'm one of 14 people elected world-wide to represent the single largest high school service organization. I'm not involved everywhere, but I'd say my Key Club experience is pretty thorough. Do you think that will help? Or should I join more? :)

Thanks so much for your advice!

Well, when you present it that way, it sounds much more impressive! Make sure to describe it in that fashion, and maybe even send a clipping from the publication.

Most colleges just ask you to list AP scores - you don't have to put any of them down if you don't want to... especially if you haven't taken the class.

thanks, i think that is what i'll do. :)

hmm, what are my chances at the schools? i know i'm not amazing, but i really want to know. :) please help.

stanford is ridiculously hard out of state.

georgetown sounds okay
