I was wondering if I still have a chance at Ivies (the ones that dont look at fesh year)
..grade wise
in 8th gradei took hs courses so the grades for them are on my trandscipt they are - 98,95, 85

in 9th grade i got- 90, 70,70,70,85,80 and 80,80,80,99,65,75,75

soph year- 98,98,98,95,99,100, 108 (i got a 98 and if u take ap you get the grade you get x 1.10= 107.8/110)

I would mean more if you gave us the titles for the class. It would be easier to see if your substandard grades in frosh year were because of the difficulty of the class, a subject you aren't good at, or you were just lazy.

Anyway, even if some colleges don't look at freshman year grades, your class rank is still calculated by using your grades from all four years. Geting C's and D's freshman year, will certainly prevent you from getting a top class rank-which is definately important with Ivy League admissions.

Sorry to tell you this but, yes, as far as I am concerned, Ivies look at all your grades. The best you can hope for is maybe that they'll disregard your freshman year grades. But just like everyone else wants to know, what happened freshman year?

ugh lets not even start there, i was horrible, i always missed class, had a boyfriend so that interfered, depression and all these things i regret, brought down my academics
but princeton+harvard doesnt
and i also heard stanford doesnt

as for my rank its 45/702 which is top 6 percent (thank god i caught up) the #1 operson has a 101 ... i have a 95

yea but i also looked at some of the ivy leauges at collegeboard.com and mostly all of them "consider" the class rank"
