How pumped/nervous are you guys?
Which Ivy is your #1 pick and why?

Best of luck to all of you in the admissions process...it's almost over, hang tight!

I’m not nervous, because I’m already into three great schools that I’d be happy at, so it’s not a life-changing decision, but I am getting impatient. This process pretty much started when the spam started rolling in after the PSAT in sophomore year, and I’m just ready to be done with it. The prospect of waiting almost another week to find out is just…aggravating.

Out of the Ivies, I only applied to Brown, because it was the only one that really struck my interest. I really like the atmosphere and philosophy of the school.

At least with the Ivies we’ve heard a specific date and time, which - while it does prompt impatience - at least prevents me from having to check my email and mailbox for decisions like with the other schools that say “oh, sometime before April 1st!” That’s what’s really getting me - knowing that at any minute, an email with a decision can pop into my inbox (Rice caught me completely off-guard yesterday, and since then I’ve been impatiently awaiting the rest so that this whole process will finally be over).

While I appreciate the speed of email decisions, I don’t appreciate the possibility for them to come at any time. At least with a mailbox, you check it once per day, and what’s there is there and what’s not there can’t be there until the next day. No such luck with the ever-present email.

Anyway, ranting done. Good luck to everyone!

^I agree. I already got into a college that I really like but I really want to get this process over and done with. I’m getting sick of checking CC and my email 10 times a day. =)

I applied to 6 ivies in total- all of the ivies except for Brown and Columbia. I know 6 is quite a lot but I really wanted to boost my chances of studying in the US. (I am a citizen from aboard but I don’t have any “state safety” because I’m not a resident at any of the US states) My top choices are Harvard and Penn, followed by Princeton, Yale, Cornell and Dartmouth. (In that order I guess)
