Ivy League- Can I get in?

I want to go to a very selective school like an Ivy and I want to major in cog science or information science. I got a good grade in pre-calc as a sophomore and am currently enrolled in AP Calc BC. It has only been one week of school and I already feel like i'm behind in BC and I have to decide by Monday whether or not I should switch to AB. I feel like I could get a better grade in AB, but I don't want to not get into a great school because I didn't take BC. What should I do?

Take AB. It is better to get an A in AB and go on to take BC than it is to take BC and get a C.

You won’t be considered worse if you didn’t take one class. Usually people take AB after precalc anyway, and because you are only a junior you can always take BC next year. Take the path that makes the most sense for you and take colleges out of the equation. It is about how much you LEARN. IMO, it sounds like you would benefit by taking AB

switch into AB. A in AB >> B in BC
