received second email with the information of a deposit and the book list to read.

Digbanugo

I have not received one yet
Do they always send then out all at once, or one at a time.

Not receive anything yet.

@EverGreenMom66: I sent it out ages ago at around the end of March… APPLE

@berzha101 I know I check everyday too! It should be coming out pretty soon now… didn’t they state in the brochure that the deadline was May 21th?

I really do hoPe so

You’re right. The deadline is soon approaching. However, I’m sure they would still be sending something either through email or postal mail. I also believe they send the acceptance letters at the same time to make it easier. The reason some may assume they are sent separately is because people receive them at different times. I’m sure you will receive something.

My D received an e-mail from them last night (9:31pm) to say that them “encourage her to accept deferred admission into the 2013 iteration of the Ivy Scholars program”.

She is a rising junior, applied for GL.

Anybody received the similar e-mail?

REJECTION!!! happy day #not

Same thing EverGreenMom. Idk what this means. Is it just a rejection or deferred admission?

I got the same thing

Some deferred admission, does this mean you at making it automatically next year?

Any rising seniors with an update? I think all the juniors are getting deferred

does deferred admission mean automatic admission next year?

or just a good sounding rejection

Please answer asap!

@losilva I received a scholarship

(This is EverGreenMom’s daughter, by the way)

I e-mailed Ivy Scholars back for clarification, and they said that deferred admission means that, assuming the program is back next year and that your grades don’t drop dramatically, you are guaranteed a spot then.

Guaranteed?

Our student got accepted this year, and when I sent back the deposit on the registration site, I saw that those who got deferred for 2011 are getting a $500 discount this year. Not bad. I think Yale does it right, unlike Stanford EPGY. Stanford still has classes that are not filled, yet they won’t take you for those, even if you applied ED and are on the WL for other classes. Not too bright. They rather have unfilled courses, than happy students who just want to go to Stanford for the summer. If Yale is overenrolled, they’ll defer your admission to next year, and if you decide to go, they will give you a pretty good discount. Now they know how to fill their summer programs! Way to go Yale!

@redbluegoldgreen: were you able to upload all 3 pages of health forms?

Got all pages of the health forms, but think I am missing a second page on the gov’t ID. Will need to try to check again tonight.
