Ok, so the title is pretty self-explanatory
If you had the choice to go to a state school with a full scholarship/a stipend/trips during breaks that are paid for/ and basically living close to home Vs. spending a whole lot of money on a prestigious Ivy.

State School Ivy
1. Financial Independence 1. No financial Independence....LOANS
after undergrad: get set
for adult life 2. Normal amount of time to finish/ you might not have
Profs. actually teaching you
2. Take AP credits, so you
graduate sooner/ get to Ivy 3. Small fish in big Pond
sooner

So this is the age old question....According to most of the adults I've talked to about this undergrad doesn't mean a thing and if you can go to a state school for undergrad (which actually pays YOU) its a more financially responsible decision than going to an Ivy right away.

You can’t just assume you’re going to get into an Ivy League school.

Come back a year from now and if you actually have been accepted to an Ivy, then the advice you get will be meaningful. As of right now, you’re just doing some wishful thinking.
