@CourtneyThurston Have you met other JKCF scholars? Are they all impressive students? Do u think race helps one get the scholarship (like affirmative action gives some students an advantage)
@aw2021 I can’t speak for the college scholars, but when we went to the YS welcome weekend every student that I met was very impressive. My S is a big fish in a small pond and when we went he found students just like him and it inspired him to keep doing well. As far as race goes all the students in his cohort were from ALL races, no race dominated more than another
Hi all; been following this thread awhile… congrats to those who so far have received some news! My son was a semi-finalist… does NOT have ‘scholar’ info on his account dashboard.
Will keep keepin’ fingers crossed for all. Please keep posting news if you get any!

To access your account dashboard, go to this link: https://application.jkcf.org/login/
Then you will login with the same information you used to complete your application and you will be able to access your dashboard.

I believe notifications are coming out. An hour ago, The JKCF announced a Cooke scholar on Instagram.
Perhaps not. That appears to be a transfer scholarship.
I messaged their Facebook account and this is what they replied
“…all semifinalists should be notified of their final status sometime in the next two weeks, good luck!”
Guys y’all should probably stop messaging them on different platforms. They’ve all said you’ll hear back before May. Nothing has changed. You’ll still hear back before May. I don’t think anyone there is going to give you a different answer.
Yeah… Pressing them for information seems a bit rude (or at least not common courtesy). After the deadline is the time to inquire, when you’re left out on a limb.

Congrats all ! I did not receive an email saying I was a scholar , ( but didn’t expect one since I was not asked for college acceptances and financial aid info). And my portal never changed! But I am happy for those of you who just had your dreams come true!
Congrats to all that won. I really don’t understand how hard it is to email those of us that lost at the same time winners are notified. Still wondering what more I could have done.
My mom just called the support number and was told that everyone will not be notified at the same time that they will be notifying students until the end of the month. So confused.
So they haven’t notified everyone yet? How hard is it to send a mass email? I just want my rejection lol
