@LitMajor1107 O I totally get what you were saying now. I was in Chicago to receive an award and was running on 2 hours of sleep so I completely misread it, my bad. I am not back home in San Diego with a little more sleep under my belt!

In case I Lose-I have “work work work work” playing (Rihanna) can’t understand any of the other lyrics - but I’ll sure have to work work work - so that’s all I need to hear ! It’s gonna play all day.
So…I emailed inquiring about result notifications on Monday and received this email a couple of hours ago: “Thank you for contacting the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. I do certainly apologize for the delay we are still currently viewing applications and have not yet sent out any further information. We should be sending out the next notification within the next few weeks.”
It seems like we wont be hearing this week maybe next week??? Who knows… but for sure is stressful but yet curious to see the results

The smart money is on next week. Thanks for the info, @LitMajor1107. I’m trying to stay in the mentality that we wont hear until later this month, that way I can be surprised if it hits us within the next 3-10 days.

@skaday yes I was there yesterday. I won new century scholar for California and a spot on the All-USA academic team. The best part though… so I have pastel pink hair and about 5 feet tall. My college president is over 6 feet tall. He bought us matching black zip up hoodies with “Chicago” on the front written in hot pink. So he and the president of another college took me on an architecture boat tour after the awards breakfast and we had our matching hoodies on, it was hilarious and awesome. Were you there?

@jakobe2020 o are there photos out already? I had a pastel blue shirt on, but it is possible it looks white in the lighting. I am the only one with long pink hair and I am pregnant so it is hard to miss me
Some unsolicited advice to everyone:
This is a cool place to share a lot of stuff (mostly anxiety), but it’s probably in everybody’s best interest to remain as anonymous as possible. Personally, I think that only negative things can come from giving out who you are to everyone in this forum. You don’t want to be stalked or judged based on a silly little forum.
But that’s just like my opinion, man. Take it for what it’s worth (or don’t)!
