You’ll definitely know if there is news. Someone will be the most excited on earth and will be here to start the party on the forum.
Does anyone know what state they’ll be calling from (if that is the method they use)?

Okay so i promised myself i wouldn’t call, but i did, with a friend’s phone and the rep told me she doesn’t know when notifications would be sent, that they just finished with the college scholarship and i should call them by…the end of may!!!..
@graceunworthy That sounds like a longgg time by the end of May. I wonder the scholars that have been giving feedback on the forum know any information, if yes please let us know
I just called (again). They said by the end of this month. Ahhh – that means this week is the week.
Then again, we all get different information…
She probably misspoke and meant April. We should def be hearing something this week. It makes no sense for it to be done end of May.

I know right? She didnt sound happy at all that I called about the transfer scholarship. I understand that there’s a lot of pressure on them but the tension on this side is just as bad.
Pretty sure she didn’t seem happy, I also understand their under a lot pressure but we are also in their same shoes hopefully someone at least hears something from the foundation tomorrow .
Well, I was going to keep this to myself for fear of disappointment, but seeing as the thread is quiet (yet i’m sure is being lurked) and we might as well talk about something, let me ask this.
The other day I called the foundation to ask if my phone number had been changed in their system. I had to get my number changed around February and I couldn’t remember if I reported this to the foundation or not.
If I remember correctly, I THINK the lady asked for my name, and then she said “we’ll notify you by email, and if you don’t get that we’ll notify you by mail within two weeks”.
I didn’t think anything of it at the time, but I’m thinking now that she may have seen my status as rejected or something and just told me I didn’t have to expect a call. If she asked for my name after I asked about my number, that seems logical. What do you guys think?
I know, I know. Probably overthinking it. I could be totally right or completely wrong and there is no actual gain from me asking this - but hey, why not kill time while I’m trying to avoid studying for my econ final right?

I say do not over think yourself @anythinghere I was told by a male rep. that I was out (IDK if you remember around a month ago some of us called and where told we were out) and within a week I called one morning and a female rep. ask for my name and last name and she told me that actually in that moment someone was reviewing my application and I was still under consideration. I say do not overthink yourself and let’s hope this week we all can hear something from the foundation.
Lol… I wonder how many calls it will take before one of those reps pops. O:-)
No but seriously, revealing a soft process outline to the public could ease a lot of stress off of both sides in the future. I understand about the announcement date shifting… but @ least let us know how many semi-finalists are intended to be selected, etc…
I have avoided calling because I know that will not speed up the process, but I have definitely been tempted. I wouldn’t worry about that call either @anythinghere . I have learned the reps cannot see all of the information that their superiors can see. Hang in there!!
@anythinghere, considering the immense disparity in the information we get from the reps, I would say that its better you don’t overthink it.
@anythinghere I have consistently been told that both those who receive the scholarship and those who don’t will be emailed.
Thanks guys! Yeah I have been trying to avoid that little thought bubble but I think we all know it’s hard not to overthink this.
And I know…I have avoided calling about the date of notification and have been listening to you guys instead lol. I made that call a few weeks ago hoping I wouldn’t be a bother.

Looks like they will really announce decision in Late May.
