Everyone might not have gotten one, it might just be because I had a messed up financial situation for the 2014 year. Like I said though they didn’t ask any clarifying questions. It was all stuff that was already on the application or in my tax documents.
@ForestryGuy did they ask you for your tax returns for 2015? I was hoping that they might want our returns we filed this year because my financial situation changed dramatically in the last year…
Dear Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship Applicant,
We have reviewed your Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship application and would like to request further information at this time.
In this next phase of selection, we ask you to complete an online Financial Form which will include:
Financial Information – Income and benefits, assets, self-employment information, and financial circumstances (e.g., business losses, extraordinary family medical expenses, expenses for disabled children).
Your 2014 Federal Tax Return – Complete forms, including W-2 form(s), schedules, and attachments
We have included in this form the 2014 Federal Tax Return file you uploaded with the original application. If you would like to upload an updated version, you can remove the file that appears and upload a new copy of your tax return, schedules and attachments.
If you are under the age of 30 (by the application deadline), your parent(s)/guardian(s) are also required to complete an online Parent/Guardian Financial Form. They will receive an email, similar to this one, with instructions on what documents are needed and how to log in.
This information must be sent using our online form. We will not accept information by email, fax, or mail. It should take you about 45 minutes to complete the form and upload the required documents.
The deadline is Tuesday, March 29, 2016 12:00pm, Eastern time. If you do not submit your Financial Form by this deadline will not be able to consider your application.
Click here to sign in. The Semifinalist Financial Form will appear on your dashboard.
If you have questions or need assistance, please contact us. Customer service staff are available 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. eastern time, Monday - Friday, except holidays.

When I went to complete the form it mentioned that I could enter my 2015 taxes if I wanted to at the end, but they understood that not everyone had completed them yet and it was not required. Also it did not give a place to upload the 2015 taxes only the 2014. Since mine were already uploaded and there was no changes to my 2014’s I just left it as it was. I think if you want to submit your 2015s you will have to merge them as one document into your 2014s.
thanks @ForestryGuy. I hope I get an email but I imagine they probably sent them all out at the same time since there is a time sensitive deadline. I don’t want to assume I didn’t make the cut but it just seems like this is a “next step” for those that made it through. Really happy that you’re advancing, and thanks for all the additional information.
same here, i didn’t receive any email, im dependent and i believe my father filled out everything
my dad already added 2014 at the beginning of the application, so i guess we are good
so you’re saying we made it to the semifinalists phase but we were cut out? how?
I don’t know whether we are cut or not, but the email that @ForestryGuy got says “…In this next phase of selection…” to me that implies that they are moving on to another phase of decisioning, and I didn’t get an email for that next phase so I’m assuming I got cut. It’s by no means a definite answer, that’s just my opinion…I could be totally wrong.
Call them and find out 800-941-3300. Bee persistent.
I mean I believe they would reject it from the first place if we were cut out?
@ForestryGuy tried that earlier. Their offices are already closed for the day.
I’ll try again tomorrow.
@ForestryGuy can you tell me what time timestamp is on the email you got notifying you that you were a semifinalist a couple weeks ago? I’m trying to figure out if they are sending emails in batches or all at the same time.
march 8
2:43pm
Ok @mariamsaleh thanks. I got mine March 8 at 1:44 pm Central Time. What time zone are you in?
I received the same email today at 2:22 PM CST.
Congrats @CherryBlossom22 hope you get it! I’m bummed I didn’t get an email but I’m happy for those of you that did.
Congrats! I received the same email and my financial situation was straight forward for 2014. I can only assume that this is the second phase but I don’t want to get my hopes up too high. Have you already filled out the additional information? I was also asked about my assets but I am considered an independent. Good Luck!!
