Hey. I was wondering if this means I have a good chance at admissions. I was just wondering... the email was from the financial aid department at UCLA and the email was not addressed specifically to me "students@ucla.edu".

It is a scholarship form thing.. I was just wondering if everyone got it and if it means I got in or not?

I remember getting that email about 2 years ago and didn’t think I would get accepted so I didn’t take the time to apply for it. Guess what, I regret not applying for it. So your chance of getting in is pretty good and you should definitely try to get the scholarship.

Awesome! UCLA has been my dream school for years. I kind of put my self out there for some ivy leagues, but I will be more than ecstatic to attend UCLA. Are you by chance a minority student?

I was just wondering if all black applicants got this email because the one other black student at my school received this email. I’ll keep asking around to see if everyone who is a minority at my school got it (I hope not!!).

If every minority student did not get this email, I’m guessing its a good sign?

Btw, how do you like life at UCLA? Are you a local Californian?

I’m a minority within the Asian race (i.e. not Korean, Chinese, or Japanese). I live 30 minutes south of UCLA but I don’t go home much that often due to the traffic. Life here is pretty great even though the sports teams are underachieving this year. Food was great the first year in the dining halls but it will start to get old in your second year. Classes will depend on your major, but I like my upperdivision classes more than the lowerdivs partly due to the fact that lowerdivision south campus classes weed out people before the end end of sophomore year.

I’m about an hour south from UCLA haha :). I know the LA traffic is terrible! It seems like you really like UCLA though. I was just up by UCLA earlier this week, but didn’t get a chance to visit.

I thought the food was great there haha? It sounds weird, but that is definitely one of my top priority at schools. I know that sounds terrible, but if I am going to be living there for four years… I better have good food options.
