I am a high school senior in New Hampshire and I just got into both of my top schools, James Madison university and university of delaware. I've toured both schools and plan on majoring in international business, it looks like the tuition will be pretty similar for me at each school. Realizing both schools are on a similar level academically, are there any differences between the schools socially? I definitely want to take part in partying/nightlife in college, what is the partying/nightlife like at each school? Based on things to do on or around campus which college has more to offer?

Our son is a senior at JMU and our niece is a junior. The both LOVE the school and that seems to be the overall consensus. I’m not sure what the UD retention rate is, but JMU is very high. The JMU business school is very good and they have a relationship for a semester abroad to study business in Brussels, Belgium. There is plenty of nightlife and parties after you have finished studying (from what I hear). Good luck

JMU is really fun, you’ll never be short of a good time. The business school is also VERY good. In Virginia it’s only behind UVA Richmond and W&M. The undergraduate business school is ranked 29th in the nation by Bloomberg Businessweek so it’s a top notch school. I’ve also heard they’re one of a very select number of schools with a quantitative finance major (if you’re into that), so major fortune 500 companies recruit at JMU.

JMU!
Awesome feel, beautiful campus, and awesome business school. You will always have an amazing time and everyone is so welcoming and loving.
