Jan. 2013 SAT Possible Issue

Hi Everyone,

So I took the SAT today, and when I finished the final section (section 10), I started to go over my answers. To my horror, every bubble I filled in was wrong! I started to erase furiously but I soon figured out that I was looking at section 9 of my answer sheet instead of section 10... I then tried to quickly bubble in everything I erased and just managed to finish before time was called. I'm really worried now that I may have filled in a bubble wrong as I was really rushing. I asked the proctor afterwards if I (or he) could look through my test booklet (since I circle all of my answer choices directly onto the test booklet) and see if my bubbles matched up with my answers but he said he couldn't do anything. Is there anything I can do now?

Thanks in advance,

that really sucks but honestly
the thing u can do is just get ur score or cancel I would
suggest cancelling if you really feel uncomfortable. Rather see
a cancel than a crappy score :/

Thanks,
I don’t think I’m going to cancel because I think I got most (if not all) filled in right, but then again I’m not 100% certain…

It’s just one section, and just a few you could have bubbled in wrong. Don’t stress about it. Either way, whether you’re a senior and this is your last usable SAT, or whether you’re a junior and you can retake the exam later, it doesn’t hurt to keep the scores. Most colleges just look at your best scores, and this score probably won’t be horrible. All you can do now is relax, focus on school, and forget about the SATs until the scores come out (and don’t worry about them even then).

dude i registered to this forum just to answer your question because I DID EXACT SAME THING. I had like 3 mins to answer last 2 q in section 10 so I rushed and had 2 mins left so I thought I might review section 10 and then I noticed I have gotten 2 bubbles marked in the 14 q so I erased one, looked at q 13, the answer marked didn’t match my thinking so I erased that one two then I noticed it is the issue for all my bubbles and thought I screwed up the entire section 10 but guess what… I found myself erasing bubbles in section 9. Silly me lost like 5 points coz last q were easy but I erased them. ef ef ef my life. So you are not alone in this. Chear up!

same exact thing. this happened to me for 2 questions in section 7…I erased 2, then realized I was looking at the wrong section, and then filled them in quickly. I don’t even know what the ef happened, I just hope I didn’t screw up. I really felt good about this test, so I’m praying nothing bad happened. I hope the best for all of you!
