January 2009 SAT Critical Reading Discussion

i put nonplussed for the girl and proximity

I got what phlpsun got.

For the one with the bird pecking at the painting: swindle or mislead?

which section of writing was experimental? because I feel like I completely skipped the aunt passage that you guys are talking about.......god I feel so dumb!

so i'm hoping that the aunt passage from writing was part of the experimental section one.

mislead for bird pecking zenythz

yea, I put moriboud

did anyone have a question with a circle and a line and u had to find the line slope?

Im pretty sure its mislead. Swindle is to like cheat someone of money and stuff

I said the slope was 3/4...unsure though.

i put 3/4 for the slope :/ what you put?

It was 4/3 (negative reciprocal of -3/4)

yes nonplussed! that was it sorry. yay. you say proximity, but i am really sure it was combatability, buy you maybe very well be right. Anyone care to shed some light?

pretty sure slope was 4/3 .. i put 3/4 first but changed it

i put 3/4 also

was that that section exp.?
and why is it reciprocal?

it was 4/3. the radius's slope was -3/4. But that wasn't an experimental.

i couldnt figure out how to do it so i had to use derivatives

hahahah derivitives? I was thinking about using it too until I figured out how to do it

haha yea i waslookin at the problem for like 5 minutes and didnt know what to do so i just took the derivative of the equation lol

Whatever gets you the answer

the answer was victimize not swindle or mislead.
