****JANUARY 2015 SAT THREAD (INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS).****

@Vedant12‌ the scientist was trying to like persuade at a conference

@vedant12 It was something like the scientist was equivocal so…scientist failed to____ her hypothesis.

If you look at it with reinstate, i think… i “think” it could mean that she failed to restore her hypothesis so it would mean something again? Again, i suck at vocab so… hhaha

What did you guys right in that Athletes passage. What did the second author mean in his last para?

I chose something like “reiterate a previous argument” or something like substantiate it. I couldn’t see anything else fitting.

@vedant12 @asiankid88 So for scientist was equivocal so…scientist failed to____ her hypothesis. I think that implicate would be the best choice.

@MarcoReus‌ i said move to a different point because before i was about the absurdity of paying athletes and then it was about education being needed more.

@MarcoReus‌ I chose something like straying away from the idea.

Oh for the echolocation passage, there was one about what does the “birds in paradise” or something mean and there were answer choices about sound, color, texture of feathers etc… does anyone remember what they chose?

ANYONE???

@homersimpson123‌ i think we’ll just leave that question… haha, no use fuddling over it. remember any other vocab ones though? or readings especially?

@MarcoReus‌ yup, that’s the answer

@MarcoReus the answer to that one was “shift the terms of the debate” of something like that

How about the question about the graph about the earning of the two girls over a 10 week period. Was the answer to that one $60?

@Janice1019‌ I am pretty sure that was sound.

@Vedant12‌ wasn’t it to reiterate his idea? and Vedant, did you get an extra math section?

Guys, just hold on and wait for your scores… You will feel bad otherwise :neutral_face: I learned my mistakes and I feel desperate now :disappointed:

@Janice1019‌ color of feathers

@Vedant12‌ yep i got 60

@asiankid88‌ i got color too but some ppl r saying sound

@Janice1019 I think it was about the color, because the author talks about how female bats must visualize the texture of male bats as resplendent and colorful or something like that…

@Vedant12‌ okay thank god haha :slight_smile:
