****JANUARY 2015 SAT THREAD (INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS).****

@Janice1019‌ What did you get for the one that asked you what did the author try to say with (lines something and something) about bats and humans?? was it like bats’ perceptions are really closer than ours than we think?

@Vedant12‌ Yup, it was to obvious.

@asiankid88 I am pretty sure it was shifting the terms of the debate or something like that as in the earlier passages he talks about paying athletes and in the last paragraph he talks about education being more important or something like that.

echolocation passage is from “The Blind Watchmaker” by Dawkins

@asiankid88 nope i got two Writing Sections of 35 questions

@asiankid88‌ yep i got that too!

@asiankid88 yup that’s the one. Similarity between humans and bats

Is the difficulty of the SAT papers like this or was this one easy ?

@homersimpson123‌ oh, ok. i thought it was because in the beginning, his thesis was he did not support paying athletes, and at the end, he also stated that he didn’t support paying athletes. @Vedant12‌ any ideas?

This was pretty much on par with what you should expect. A good mix of questions.

@Vedant12‌ i don’t really remember the $60 question, can you elaborate?

@Vedant12 So the curve on this SAT will be a bit harsh?

What was the meaning of cast? I think it referred to her artifical shading.

@asiankid88 it was the last multi-correct question. After that question the fill-in questions started. In the question a graph showed two lines that represented the earnings of two girls over the course of 10 weeks. One girl’s earning has a positive slope while the other has a negative one.

@homersimpson123‌ Any ideas on the writing passage? the paragraph editing thing. there was a question that asked to put a transition word in paragraph 3? was the answer fortunately? the answer choices were moreover, furthermore, in addition, and something something

@Vedant12‌ yeah, i remember now. it was 60

@MarcoReus‌ I thought of it as literally a cast lol

@asiankid88, yes it was fortunately.

The first fill in question was 28 right? I took a wild guess at it, 10 secs were left.

@MarcoReus‌ i think i got what you put down, remember the answer choices?

@MarcoReus‌ For math?
