***January 2016 SAT (US Only) Thread***

What did you guys get for the writing problem that went something like this, "He believed that a society unable to produce good design lacked a solid system. "

Not the most accurate reproduction lol.

For the one looking for a digit in the singles place, was 1 incorrect?

@OOooGs I think I put unable to ( if it was underlined) because it should have been THAT is unable to

@OOooGs or maybe I put lacks, because it should have been lacked? hmm…

I think the original was “lacked” but i know some people who thought it was wrong and should be “lacks.” I personally put NE.

No I know for an absolute 100% sure fact that the answer to that question was NE. I went to past docs that debated this question and they said the answer turned out to be NE. Did anyone get the “guy tried to keep his words from going into unuse” question or something like that as another NE?

@JuicyMango I think “unuse” is incorrect; disuse sounds better.

Hmmm i don’t remember that question, but did anyone else get a total of 3 NEs?

I got 3 or so no errors as well

you guys think that if I bubbled like at least 50% of the bubble will it still get read correctly? i rushed to bubble on one section and I’m getting nervous

I do not think that should matter. The scanning equipment should be able to pick up.

@BenedictArnold That’s what I think too, but people say they don’t remember that question and if they happen to remember, it was “misuse” originally or “unuse” wasn’t underlined. Either way, people put no error.

Do you guys think that if I’ve gotten almost all of the reading questions that were questionable and talked about right on here should I be above 700? I don’t remember if there were some questions I could have gotten tricked on and not realized.

@OOooGs I distinctly remember getting 3 NE’s as well.

@imbep49 Do you remember which ones? “far away galaxy”, “keeping words from going away”, and “society lacked blah blah blah”???

so no one remembers explicitly marking “unuse” as wrong…or the question at all?

I do not remember that question …

Lol what the heck am I just imagining it then??? Now I’m even more worried :p. Maybe that question had a really trivial mistake so people didn’t bother reading or remembering the rest of it???

and did you guys get “critique an approach” for the celebrity passage?

What were the other options? i don’t remember putting that answer.
