For those of you who had two writing sections, I’m pretty sure the first writing section was the experimental one.

I had two… guess one of them was experimental. Kinda sucks, because I do the best on writing usually, but then again most colleges don’t care about writing.

Also, another question from the test: Did you guys get that one writing one about watering a plant… and something about it being in a dimly lit corner or something? The beginning of it was “Despite (a)watering it(a) daily, the plant shriveled up…” or something. And I chose watering it because it seems like it should’ve been “Despite having been watered daily…”

aha you got trolled by experimental. i didnt get that question

mdross95/ I didn’t have that question. maybe that was experimental?

D’awwwww man haha. Not a fan of this whole experimental thing.

Wow, I was really hoping for the first CR section to be experimental

would you guys plz read my essay and see if it’s off topic? I really need a help! Thx!
Hammad-same here. I was praying, but didn’t work haha

my experimental section was writing, i had section 5 and 6 side by side, im thinking section 5 was the experimental (thank god!) so i think i’m good!

How did you do the math question about shopping and what was the answer?

There were 85 men and 155 women in a department store.
40 percent of the purchases made were for clothing.
42 percent of the clothing purchases were made by men.
How many women purchased clothing?

…Ok I just saw that we’re not allowed to discuss SAT questions? I didn’t know that; I thought you could discuss everything except the essay prompt after the test was over. I don’t want my SAT’s canceled or something by CollegeBoard finding out… and then of course there’s no way to delete your posts… Freaking out right now. Couldn’t they have made it a little more clear? I was never even told by my proctor or anything.

Unless you put your full name on here, I doubt they could find out.

I remember that question asking how many men, if I’m not mistaken, and I got 85 and over for the category.

@711kevin
it didn’t say “42 percent of the clothing purchases were made by men,” it said “42 of the clothing purchases were made by men”. so you just had to take 40% of 240 and then subtract 42 from that to get the number of women.
I got 54~

I got the same answer as michellee

I got same answer as michellee. does anyone remember this in reading?
passage:landlord
question was about the mrs.landlord. the answer choices were
a)charmed by her beauty
b)self consciousness smth
c~e) idk
what did you guys did for this one?

i said self consciousness

Johnlee - I did self consciousness, too! Hope it’s right :)

I think I put E…it was between self-conscious and another choice. The passage said he was frank so I didn’t think he was very self-conscious…IDK reading is my weak point
