Here's the official response from their bulletin board:

Our Committee anticipates that applicants will finish either the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT exam before our January 15th application deadline. As such, regular decision applicants should complete all testing by the December test dates. In many cases, it is usually possible that January test scores will reach the admissions office in time to be considered as part of your application. But, unfortunately there is no guarantee that the scores will reach our office by the time a decision is reached on your application. Also, this year the January test date for the SAT does not occur until very late in the month. Additionally, the ACT will not be administered again nationally until February. This means that the scores for these exams will not be available until the end of February/beginning of March at the earliest. This is well past our deadline and well into the decision making process for our Committee.

As a reminder, it is also not necessary to "rush" report your test scores to New York University. We do not receive "rushed" score reports any quicker as all test scores are received regularly and electronically directly from the testing agencies.

This would also apply to SATIIs which are not required but which are recommended.

ok thanks....

hmm still not sure what to do though

any ideas?

What date in January are you thinking of taking it? If it's the late in the month one, I think it's pretty clear that they won't be considering those scores.

Its January 28th so i guess they wont consider it.

Am I right?

Yes, it would appear that you're right. It's too late.
