Hi all, I'm sorry for not replying earlier, but my internet's been down this past week or so. Its probably too late for any advice I can give, but anyways here goes:
I'd not recommend looking at the questions as I don't really see the benefits of that, although as Icer said, if you gain enough familiarity with the type of questions through doing test after test, the correct answers seem to come intuitively. I would suggest remembering that ETS tends to be very non controversial in most of its answer choices.

this is the night before the January SAT and I am frieked out.
this is my fourth time to take the SAT and I haven't opened a book all day!! I have done 30 tests so far from all the books I could lay my hands on. As you may or may not have noticed, My score is stuck on 1700. I got a 7 on the essay the last time and have worked hard and hope to raise it this time. still, a 4 hour test is too long. keep practicing...

yes - I just feel bad that he did all those tests. I would have advised against it. Sometimes taking tests becomes a rote exercise yielding little value and causing much frustration. A tweak here and there along the way from a qualified expert could have been very effective

You may see the SAT as a challenge to your intellect, as a gateway to college or as a hurdle to overcome. You may see it as your friend or as your enemy. Any view is acceptable, as long as you pick the one that best motivates you to succeed. One thing you must never do is take the SAT for granted. It is worthy of your attention. You can master it, but you must acknowledge and respect it.

Taking it tomorrow too. This is my first official SAT...SO FREAKED OUT. Good luck to everyone out there. I suspect this will be a hot topic by this time tomorrow.

Relax, Julina. This is not the only shot you'll get. My best advice to you is - expect the unexpected. If you encounter a hard question where you dont expect one - just do your best to solve it. If you are very nervous, deep breathing is imperative! Short breaths caused by nervousness can diminish brain funtioning. Deep breaths. Relax. Do your best. Get a good night's sleep. Have agood breakfast - carbos and proteins. Good Luck!

Thanks for the great advice, thesatguy. I'd never want to take the SAT's for granted. I know how much the test can help. Respect the SAT, I shall. :)

This is my fourth SAT. Hehe but only my second in high school. The first two were in middle school.

I'm not freaked out or stressed at all cause my dad's basically forcing me to take it right now. I took it in November and told him that 1) I can't improve my score as much as I want in this little time and 2) I have waaaaay too much going on, but he just doesn't listen and I don't have a choice.

My goal is 800 W / 700 CR for a combined score of 2300 (I already have an 800 on M), but I doubt that's going to happen so I'll be fine with a 2250.

the neo...u live in nj right? why are you bothering to try and get an 800 in W. Try to get higher in verbal because since you are a senior in high school...only your reading and math scores will count for college admissions in most colleges unless you are applying to california or whatever. alright peace
