January Weather

I clicked on the USC campus webcam today, January 7th, and checked out the view near Tommy Trojan. Grass is green, trees are leafy, skies are blue and students are wearing shorts.

While much of the country is facing freezing weather and heavy snow, it will be a balmy 71o in Los Angeles. Friday forecast is 74o, Saturday 74o and Sunday a sunny 75o.

Sigh......we are expecting snow showers today in north Georgia.

<— 30 miles south of USC— It’s beautiful today. Our little bit of rain gave us some green hills and everything seems so clean and bright. (Probably the biggest minus in our weather: it’s usually very dry and unless it’s watered by sprinklers, everything is brown.) And we’ve been having the most GORGEOUS sunsets.

It’s very reassuring that in less than a year I’ll hopefully be able to escape the snow storms that are plaguing the UK year after year!

2 hours south of USC. Beautiful day for us too! Sunny, bright…feels like springtime. How often does it rain in LA, by the way? Especially in comparison to San Diego. Because, while I love the sunny weather we have, I love the rain too and I think rainy days at such a great school and in such a great city would be magical.

The last week of finals last semester, it poured buckets all day long on Monday. It rained again the next morning, but not nearly as much. Typically it rains maybe 7 days in fall semester, and a little more spring semester.

Thanks! That sounds perfect. :D
