There are 2-3 people in one room, 4-12 people in one suite, and 60-90 people in one building. I say building because UCI doesn't run by the hall system. Instead, one entire building is equivalent to one floor/hall in a tall dorm complex at other schools.

That schedule is pretty fierce. Stick with it for now and drop accordingly. Laptops are useful if you have a roommate that can't sleep with any light or sound. I don't use my laptop very often, but it has definitely helped my roommate get some shuteye. I'll be using my laptop next year in my living room if I work late so I don't bother my roommate.

New only means only new students (freshman or transfers) can register until 24hrs after the last enrollment window.

ok jason you did mention that you don't know answer to question concerning financial aid. I wonder how can you ever get by without them. Is your family that rich or do you just happen to garner up a lot of scholarship?
Anyways, I will post the question on here hopefully someone can answer it.
When will I get my cal grant stuff? will I have to pay the 2K on my zotbill before hand then the school will reimburse me later or how does it really work?

My family is able to support me throughout college. They've done considerable investing for the sole purpose of being able to pay my, and my sister's, tuition as we go through college. Also, they are willing to sell the house or take loans from it to pay for my tuition.

From what I know now after helping my friend with cal grant stuff, you will either get the 2k before the deadline for your tuition (for the first quarter only), or you will have to pay it and get reimbursed later.

Heh, even if I could get out of Breadth 7B, I would still have to take Korean 2B and 2C for personal reasons. Although I can perfectly speak, read, and write Korean, my vocabulary in this language is lacking. It's become a barrier between me and my mom who is not fluent in English and doesn't have the interest to.

It looks fine. Sociology is widely popular and supposed to be one of the easier majors. That class might be interesting. Did you not want to try waitlisting? There is still an entire month before class starts.

I'm a little worried; when can we start buying our books? Will the books used for summer courses be the same as the fall one? Cuz I don't want to wait for the uci website to update their fall material but would rather look on amazon or something in advance.
