jas0n's Official UCI Q&A Thread

The Brian:

even though you are 1st on the waitlist, make sure that you are first in the class and try to get a seat. However the TA might offer any open spaces based off senority, which is kind of unfair, but happens. It is all based off your TA. MY only advice would be to get to the class early and be ready and dont miss a single day till he signs that add card.

jas0n:

can you tell me about botony Writing 39C series. i have to take it in the fall and im a math major who never dabbles in bio. do you think that it is a class taught by kadyas?......let me know when you can. Thanks!

KadyaSayzWhat: LMAO

Does anyone know when the deadline for turning in the health requirement forms is.. or has it already passed?

If you are talking about the immunization stuff, then no it hasn't passed... i dont think.

i was wondering if i could get my uci id during the welcome week.. where do i get it and do i need anything?

Yes

ucitems (behind the bookstore)

Have your ID# ready.

Is there anything that we need to bring on Welcome Week? Btw who here is attending all three days? Is it neccessary to go on all three days?

Is it okay to have limewire on our computer even if I won't be downloading while I'm there?

what does the MC next to my classes in my webreg mean?

staplers:

little inside thing from someone who use to download. dont use limewire, it is full of junk now, and there are huge amounts of blank files such as music files, which are just trackers. they get your ip address, and that is how the government finds you. I suggest finding other ways of downloading other than limewire for the future, but dont do it at uci, since they WILL CATCH YOU...

sweetdream:

you dont need to bring anything to welcome week but yourself. I suggest you attend everyday, and participate in the activities because they are the best things of the dorm experience. They are so good, that you will rave about them for the rest of the year, plus it is a great way to check out the dorms, and meet other people from other dorms as well. Nothing is really mandatory to go to during welcome week and no one can make you go, but i really suggest you go to whatever you want.

To everyone and libertyskate93:

If you plan to eat at any dining facility, you must have your UCI ID card. They wont let you go in and eat.

Howdy

libertyskate93:

The MC means the classroom or time changed. The new time or classroom is already updated so make sure you catch that.

all:

For the most part, all you need is to bring yourself to welcome week. Check out the website below for the scheduled plan. Welcome week is completely optional and you can find out if you need to bring anything (if anything at all) by looking at the schedule.

corporateflea:

The bed size is twin extra long. You need to buy all the bed stuff.

thanks jason... so if my writing 39B class says MC next to it, does it mean it won't be in the room and time that it says there?
