Hi There,
I live in California and originally started college with the intention of going to a CC for two years, then to a state university (CSU) for another two, then to another state university (UCLA) for my MBA. I'm a little over half way through my two year JC plan and have a 4.0. I'm beginning to think that I should aim a little higher for undergrad. The idea here is that I'd like to broaden my choices for grad school and I would like to avoid narrowing my options due to attending a CSU for my undergraduate work. I've read online that undergrad school choice matters and I want to make the best decision possible.

My current considerations are as follows:

1 - I'm a full time employee (successful IT professional) with somewhat flexible hours, but I can't change my work hours to evenings so that I can attend class during the day.
2 - A CSU (Northridge) is a few miles from my house and offers evening courses and programs for business majors that work during the day.
3 - The closest UC (Los Angeles) doesn't offer any evening classes for business majors.
4 - Essentially, I'm looking for a respectable institution that would allow me to continue my day job while working towards my undergrad degree---preferably nearby, but beggars can't be choosers, right? :)
5 - The biggest motivator for me to not attend a CSU is I'd like to attend a school that's further north on the rankings (I.e. Stanford, Berkeley, Columbia, University of Chicago, Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, etc).
6 - Lastly, am I aiming too high with my expectations or is this a realistic goal coming from a CC?
