Hey everyone! I’m an international finalist from the UK after undertaking 2 rounds of interviews in London.
Facebook group link doesn’t seem to be working for me and I’m not sure if all the finalists are on one yet? Would be great to get in contact with you all 
Have any students from non-designated schools been notified of status?
Have not heard any have.

We just did our at large nominations and sent them to the Foundation. We aren’t involved from here, so I can’t tell you what the timeline is like.
Debate, the at large process works differently.

@Dean J Thank you for letting me know! My fingers are crossed. I'm assuming it is much harder to be selected at-large as opposed to the regional competitions?
@SomeDancinPanda CC blocks external links – if you search “Jefferson Scholarship Finalists 2016” on Facebook you should be able to find it. And no there aren’t very many finalists in the group yet, but results are evidently still coming in!
I attend a non-designated school and received a phone call in the afternoon yesterday informing me that I am a finalist for the Jefferson Scholarship. I now have a little over a week to submit the online application which applicants from designated schools completed when first applying.
@scholcol The Jefferson committee doesn’t have access to your UVA common app. Try to tweak and reuse what you can.
@theleenbean Couldn’t help but come back to this forum and ask you, if you don’t mind, what time block were you for your second interview? Can’t help but be curious if we met as I talked to the girl going before me and the guy going after me if you are perhaps one of them. That would be so cool haha!
I finally got something to come up for the Facebook group, hopefully my daughter will be joining soon.
@ClassOf2020x Yes that would be cool! I don’t think I was one of those people though - I’m a girl and there was a girl before me and no one afterwards (lunch break). My interview was 11:30, but maybe we met at the first meeting! Haha it’s strange, not knowing who anyone is on CC.

Ah. I was chatting with a handful of mostly parents. Our kids went up in small groups. My son’s group had 2:00 interview.
