So I really did not want to live in this hall at all, but after hearing that my priority number was so high that I might not even get housing I changed my preference to this hall. Just because I heard its easier to get into this hall due to the lack of preferences it receives. Is this true? And has anyone lived there?

my friend dorms there and i think its a really nice dorm. its suite style, so u have one roommate and share a bathroom with her and 2 other girls. most girls dont wanna live there because its all girls, but i really dont see what the big deal is. even in the regular dorms, guys and girls are placed on different floors. and its not like guys are totally banned from the dorm. and really, youre dorm room is just a place to sleep, you shouldnt be spending all youre time there

You should still put it as your last preference if you don’t want to live in it. It’s not like changing it to your first preference will help your chances at the other dorms.

If you want to live in a nice, renovated, east side dorm, and you have a really high number, your best chances are Murphee and Reynolds. And they are nice dorms. And yes, they often do not fill until later, or until change requests are made. So yes, go for it if you want a dorm like Gilchrist or Broward, but have a high number.
