jester east or west?

which is better?

i heard east has more atheletes and more connecting baths? i don’t know which is better…but i got West

west, from what i heard, is def. better…

How do I know if im in east or west? My room is M0371 I don’t see a east west thing anywhere.

^^ Uh oh! We now know where you live!

That’s just the room.
You need to find out either E or W.

and if I’m bored, expect a knock at your door? haha jk

M is East and W is West.

Thank you!

logically shouldn’t E be east and W be west? o.O

lol yes that would make more sense

They originally stood for Men and Women because the sides were gender segregated. They never changed the room numbers when they opened both towers to both genders.

Traditionally, women’s housing was all along Whits Ave, and men’s housing was along 21st St. Jester was the first co-ed building on campus.

I’ve been following this forum for awhile before I finally decided to join and I have to say that “loneranger” literally knows EVERY answer to a question lol

yeah i agree. that last post by theloneranger proves how well-versed he is in knowledge about ut austin.

lone ranger!
answer my question :)

does it matteR? it’s not like you get to choose

Friends were arguing.
Please answer!

definitely east, if i’m correct about the dorms in jester west having that weird built-in furniture. i stayed in east at orientation, and my dorm had movable furniture and the kind of beds you can raise up and put your desk underneath to save space.

You could raise the beds up??? Geez I would’ve had a much more comfortable sleep during orientation if I had known that

Like earlier posters, thinking theloneranger’s answers are helpful, and also, you know:

He could answer most of the questions people asked during the 07-08 school year, when he was still a high school senior. After a year at UT, he could write a book.

You couldn’t raise the beds up if you had the built in furniture that most of the rooms had. The only rooms that have movable beds and such are those with a connecting bathroom.
