looks like we have to wait for the mail.
blah

deferred =(

did anybody actually get rejected? it seems like most people are either deferrals or acceptances....

Probably because the students that go to CC to post are a tad different from those who don't. I mean, people who post on here have a certain characteristic in common... if I could just put my finger on the word.

Several more days of agony. Great...

JHU would have contacted us if we left anyting out right?
because i'm really scared that maybe i didnt complete my app and thats why i didnt get the email

i got the confirmation long time ago though

i think our official jhu ed thread is officially the shortest decision thread, like ever
good luck if u still havent heard yet!!!

Here's the response of the admissions office in regards to my inquiry about not receiving an email:

"Thanks for your messages and I do sympathize with your frustration. All decisions were mailed this morning, and as well we e-mailed all decisions (admit, defer, and deny) to any Early Decision applicant who provided an active e-mail address in their application. (You can read about the process in my blog.)

A small number of students have reported not receiving an e-mail and there are a few reasons why this happened:

* An applicant did not provide an e-mail address with their application.
* The e-mail address provided by the applicant in their application is no longer active. (We would suggest checking all e-mail accounts that you may have created, as well as a parent's account if you ever provided Hopkins with that information.)
* An applicant's e-mail system may use a spam blocker and therefore the message we send is considered undeliverable and bounces back to our account.
* The e-mail address provided in the application was illegible and therefore could not be recorded in our system.
* A data entry problem may have occurred on our end and therefore the decision e-mail was sent in error to a undeliverable account.

We know everyone is anxious to receive their decision, but unfortunately e-mail is not a 100% fail safe system. Errors do occur, but I can assure you that we take all steps to prevent system wide errors.

Once again, all decisions have been mailed and all e-mails were sent this morning. Unfortunately, we will not be sending e-mails again. Applicants who have not received their decision will need to wait for the postal mail which should arrive in most locations no later than Tuesday of next week. On Monday, December 19th applicants may call the Admissions Office to have their decision released over the phone. More information regarding that process is available here.

Thank you for your patience and understanding."
