"Nowadays everyone is so interested in the numbers, so this is a frequent question from prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, the media, my Mom ... Though the official number will not be finalized for a few more days it appears we have received our largest Early Decision applicant in history. As of this morning the count was 1,139 applications. As our Operations team processes out duplicates, checks for any errors, confirms early decision agreements, and cleans up other data over the next few days that number may change slightly. All in all, it appears we have had a 8-9% increase in ED applications. Dean Latting will release official numbers probably next week and the final number will end up in a JHU Gazette article in the coming days."

Can’t say it’s that surprising…they will probably level off at 1300 to 1500 over the next 5 years…medlove like the name lol.Don’t be scared I doubt the number wil affect their decision(maybe slightly for all applicants i’m guessing)

Do you mean class of 2013? As in, current freshmen? Because yes, that’s definitely a big class! The class of 2010 (current seniors) is pretty standard.

The number of applications has been increasing pretty much every year, so it’s not a huge surprise.
