I know that JMU extended its EA deadline to November 9. My DD's newest ACT scores were received by JMU AFTER that deadline, but they appear when she checks the status of her application. They are her best scores to date. We were wondering if those scores will be taken intio consideration when the admissions committee makes a decision for her EA application. I have already emailed the admissions office, but since it's Thanksgiving break, haven't heard anything back yet. This Board is so active, I thought someone who's knowledgeable about these things would respond much quicker! Thanks.

I got an email back from JMU today. So… if anyone is interested… if updated scores appear when you check your application status, the AC will consider those scores during their admissions process (even if those scores were reported AFTER the EA deadline).

WHAT!!! They said they would consider your score even though they ere late? My Nov. SAT was postponed a couple weeks b/c of Hurricane Sandy and I e- mailed them about that. But when I got my scores back in early December, they said they were unable to consider them b/c they were past the deadline?

ditto @namesss. i had the same problem bc of Sandy and they said that they cannot consider my new scores for admission, but they can consider them for scholarship $$.

My DD just heard she got deffered. She is a mess. I told her not to worry, and I really think she will get into JMU, but she wanted to get in EA.

:) Yay Sarah!
