Hi,
I'm currently a junior in high school. James Madison and Binghamton are my two top choices and are closely tied. Whih one would I have a better shot at? My unweighted gpa is 3.4, and my class rank is 126/287. I've been in both choirs my school offers available to men for as long as possible, I'm going to soon be the founder of te chess club, I confounded the coed acapella group at my school, and this year I was the only singer admitted from my school into the All State music festival. Last year I participated in the new England music festival, and this year I'll have done the eastern regional music festival, new England, and all state (all auditioned). I'll be doing the same ones next year as well. Last year, I participated in the east Lyme regional theatre's (the local community theatre group) production of children of Eden, and I'll be auditioning for a role this year for the show they put on as well. I did half a year of drama my freshman year as a member of the props department, and next year I'll be auditioning for the musical they put on. I may be getting a job this summer babysitting; I'm not sure though. I'd like to major in English and eventually teach it at a high school or college level, and I'd like to maybe minor in vocal performance or something music related. I don't know if this helps, but I've been told that my school is pretty competitive. I plan on having at least 2 really good recommendation letters, and I can get more if needed. Ive not taken the sat yet, but I plan on preparing myself extremely hard. If jmu isn't a good fit, I'd appreciate some other recommendations, and I'd like to know if I'm on the right path. According to Naviance, 7/8 people from my school who applied got in, and the average gpa for them was a 3.24. I'm pretty nervous about all of this cause I know it's a competitive school and my ranks not very good and I'm freaking out over the sats. Let me know. One last thing: I'm taking ap music theory right now, and I plan on taking ap gov, ap English, and possibly ap phsychology next year.

Also if there are some strategies for studying for the sats, theyd b most welcome
