job or internship?

hi, i am close to finishing my 1st semester of college. i am a freshman.

i plan to either intern or find a job for the 1 month i have off after the finals

what should i do?

here's where i stand
i was suppose to take a total of 13 credits but i withdrew from my math course which brings me down to 9 credits.

i want to take 5 class next semester to make up for the lost credit
i also plan to join a school club

question is should i find a job or intern somewhere around my community for the 1 month i have off before my 2nd semester starts and continue it through the 2nd semester and into the summer or should i just focus in school for the 5 class and only join school club without worrying about finding a job or intern around my community

i know it is still early for me to decide but i plan to transfer out of state after my second year in the current school so i would like to fulfill all of these task asap

if i decide to add either a job or internship along with school clubs and 5 other class, how would it affect me?

i need a job because i dont want to take out loans when i go out of state for school
i want to intern because i feel i have a lot of free times on my hand and i want recognition from out of state schools and on the same token, make my resume shine.

help!

You need to focus on your grades if you are sure that you want to transfer.

A school club that is relevant to your major or an honor society would help, and both are easily manageable with a 15 hour semester.

Even if you wanted to do an internship, I doubt your chances of finding one are very good. You are a freshmen, and the interview & hiring process of an internship often takes longer than the few months you have left. Just a reality check.

thank you for the reply, wowurrcool.

i just want to transfer with excellent grades and some Extracurricular activities.

guess ill just search for internship in my new school and a job during the summer perhaps?
