Job Recruitment Question

Hello all,

I was wondering if West Coast Employers tend to interview business students from Midwestern schools such as U of I for jobs (Accounting in particular) in California, Washington..etc. University of Illinois (my state school) would be more cost effective for me and their rank for accounting is greater than schools like UCLA or USC. Would it really be effective to sacrifice a cheaper, and "better" school to go to a more expensive school like UCLA or UCB (oos + they offer barely any aid) for an improved chance to get a job in the west?

Thanks! (Decided to switch future goal to business from medicine (HS senior) and moving to the West Coast has been a dream since i was a little kid (my parents moved from CA a month before i was born.. and they regret it big time).

CA’s unemployment rate is close to 12%. It will be hard to get a job at CA even if you are graduated from a CA school.
