<p>I'm 80% sure I'll be attending UCSC next year as a transfer from a CC in the bay area, but am nervous about how I'll be able to afford it. I'll be getting no help from my parents (it's not that they don't want to, they just can't. They also have pretty bad credit.) I'm applying for fin. aid and all that, but I'll most likely have to pick up a part time job to afford housing. Are there on-campus job opportunities? Do they pay well? Same for off-campus options, are they rare?</p>
<p>There are tons and tons of on campus jobs, and they are very accommodating toward student schedules. Off campus there are service jobs and babysitting, mostly, and are less accommodating but there are certainly plenty of options.</p>
