Money Issues UCSD

Hi all,

I have a question regarding on campus jobs (and also jobs near enough to UCSD for people who will live on campus). How feasible is it to find and get a good part time job at UCSD. What are some suggestions for these? I know there are some who would say "just have fun and study hard freshman year" but I would like to have fun, study smart, and earn some money too haha.

How feasible would it be to earn about 7 thousand to 10 thousand dollars freshman year before the summer assuming one starts out with nothing?

Please respond. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :)

please do not laugh and sorry if this question is really silly. I'm kind of new to this as I have been studying hard in school and am a newbie when it comes to money matters

You will have to work about 20-25 hours per week to get around 7k over a 12-month span.

idk if your a girl or a guy and id only recommend this for guys…if at all

but one of my previous teachers said he made a lot of money going to alaska one summer…shipping? or canneries? idr. but he said it was brutal, but the pay made it worth it.

Thank you Coolaid317 and ucsdlee for your responses.
hmm, alaska sounds like an interesting route, but a bit far from home. Thanks again, I really appreciate it.

Good Luck with your goals!
