jobs

Question: Will people hire me even though I have absolutely no experience in a field? Such as cashier? I've never had a job before so I have to write a resume myself, Problem is I don't know what to fill it out with as I've never had a work position. o______o help?

It depends on the job and the employer. If you're applying to a place with a lot of young people working there, chances are they don't mind hiring inexperienced people. Unless there is a lot of competition for the position, you shouldn't have trouble being hired in retail or food service without previous experience. Every worker has to start somewhere, right?

I've had a little experience in retail and food service, and I hated both. I don't mind work, but my personality just wasn't suited to that sort of converyor belt processing of people. This summer I'm working in a nice used book store, though, which is much more my pace.

My biggest advice: don't just take the first job you think you can get because you have no experience. Consider all the options, and only apply for jobs you would be happy with for more than just the short term.

my friend just got a cruddy job in some cafe with no experience at all because they weren't looking for expereience because they offered training to the selected applicants.
She hated it: they made her work thursday, friday, saturday nights.
she got paid $5.00/hour lol
but she only worked there for about 3months?

Since she had 'experience', where she applied, 80% was success because most people at age 15, 16 didn't have experience and she had it.

oh and for a bonus, on her resume, she said she had IT experience from school courses lol (which were compulsory in middle school and freshman year).
and she wrote that she took 'accounting' and 'economics' at school. maybe you too could write some stuff about your school background?

yeah i don't know if i helped. lol sorry!
just look for places where they are desperate to hire someone: "full training will be provided for the right person"
