John Jay vs LLC

<p>I've browsed through most of the housing threads on here but with less than a week remaining, I still can't decide if I want to put down a JJ or LLC single as my first choice. Ideally, I would prefer a single with relatively clean bathrooms, be in a convenient location, have a few closer friends from the start, and get to know lots of freshman. Of course, nothing is perfect as this would be a mix of JJ and LLC.</p>

<p>I love the suite system idea but I'm just concerned I won't know a lot of the freshman, who I hear make up most of your social circle after first year. However, I'm also afraid JJ will be too lonely if everybody stays in his/her room with the doors closed, especially since the long, dingy corridors seemed a bit depressing... I guess I could get used to dirty JJ bathrooms but I also hear JJ has the best views. And, I keep hearing good and bad things about LLC but mostly things I've heard about JJ have been positive, so it makes me more indecisive. </p>

<p>I was in the same situation. I signed up for JJ first and LLC third.</p>

<p>I mean, although JJ has community bathrooms, it’s not like you’ll be in the bathroom during your ENTIRE term. I totally love the atmosphere of JJ, though. I mean, I stayed in Carman for DoC and enjoyed it, but I liked what I saw in JJ. </p>

<p>John Jay will definitey not be anti-social. If not, find a friend in Carman or some other dorm then go and visit them :)</p>

<p>How long are the john jay corridors? Like i wanted to get an idea of how far you would have to walk to the bathroom if your room was the furthest from the bathroom.</p>
