Johns Hopkins CTY?

Ok so today I got a letter from school saying I got into Johns Hopkins CTY.... anybody has/ or is going to be doing anything that has to do with it?? I mean I'm in 8th grade and it says I have to take the SAT so I just wanna know what it is from people that have gone through this process before just give me a quick summary thanks.

This only means that you are invited to apply for CTY. You will have to have to meet certain thresholds to qualify for different levels of the program.

Take the test. It can’t hurt anything and you may get into one of the programs!

My son took the SAT when he was in 7th grade. He got some nice awards and took two writing classes. The programs are very good, but kind of expensive

neatoburrito is right. You are invited to join CTY. As an 8th grader, you need to take the SATs to qualify. Don’t be too scared - the worst that can happen is that you don’t score high enough and aren’t accepted. If you are accepted, you will get an award, and have access to some great online classes a summer program and a nice magazine.

i took the SATs in 7th grade and went to CTY for 2 years. this should be in the summer programs part but the experience you receive from CTY is what you make of it. for me, i loved it, and im not one of the typical nerdy kids there but its a great environment where everyone is accepted.

its a summer camp and theyre inviting you to apply.
oh and its $4000 but the best experience of life…

ok thanksss

It’s not only a summer camp; it’s also access to various courses. I am currently taking an online music theory course in lieu of music this year from CTY. It is pretty well done, and I encourage you to: a) put in on your applications, and b) put the invitation to good use and do something with it.

ok could you chance me on my chance thread the one with andover deerfield and milton not the lawrenceville one or any other one but only the ones that have andover, deerfield, and milton thanks
