Supplement was a winner! Talked about wrongful convictions using a creative analogy to a squirrel on a wire and talked about tackling this issue with the help of JHU’s curriculum, professors, and resources. Personal statement was about public speaking and finding my voice

In general, congrats to all others who were admitted and to those rejected, everything will turn out okay. Best of luck! <3

Thanks for the info. Except a few emails on acceptance and upcoming sessions, no other regular emails! Oh yes… on gifts, got a Bluetooth speaker which speaks some east asian language :frowning: Nothing else!

Yes the bluetooth speaker is hillarious … Nice gesture though…The key chain went right onto daughter’s car keys

I have heard on certain situations, you can withdraw. But, we had no such plans. JHU was her dream school and she got in.

I find that – unbelievable. You have to wonder what they think they’re looking for if they reject someone as stellar and high-achieving as your daughter. Scratching my head.

She sounds like a spectacular young lady and I’m certain she’ll be very happy and successful wherever she attends!

D22 with a competitive profile is accepted and really happy about it. It has been a rough ride for so many students, including her. Wishing all applicants the best of luck!

I’m hoping that the school announces some in-person events for accepted students. So far still virtual - hope that changes!

On the admissions portal it has several in-person admitted student days listed, in addition to virtual events. Where are you seeing just virtual events?

Must have been updated in the last week. Thanks, I’ll look.

My daughter was admitted via ED1. In the admission portal, I can see three tabs - Admissions, Financial Aid, Events and Community. In this last page, other than links to Insta and Discord, no other event info! Do you think we are missing something?

Mine was admitted ED2 and this is also not showing in her portal. Hopefully will update? I assume ED students are welcome too! Would love if any RD applicants who have this list would provide a list or screenshot?
If nothing Monday am planning to email or call since we’d need to make travel arrangements…

If anyone finds any details please update thread. Some colleges have lots of interesting activities during admit days

In my portal, in the last tab labeled “Events & Community”, there is a button that says “Admitted Student Events”. When I click on it, there are three new tabs labeled “Virtual Events”, “In-Person Events”, and “Resources”. Under in-person events, there are admitted student days and campus tours, as well as a prompt encouraging students to visit campus in person whenever able to in order to receive an “admitted student welcome bag”. If you’re unable to reach this part of the portal, I encourage you to reach out to the admissions office as they might be able to help!

Directly from the portal under my tab labeled “In-Person Events” (read response above):

"Travel assistance available to join us for a Blue Jay Day

Note that these dates have links to registration pages for the event as well. Those dates are specifically for families who would like to request travel assistance and JHU organizes the trip for them.

Other regular admitted student dates are:
Thursday, March 31
Friday, April 1
Tuesday, April 5
Wednesday, April 6
Friday, April 8
Tuesday, April 12
Wednesday, April 13

They also clarify you can come to tour campus in person at any time. Hope this helps!
