Hey guys!!
I wish you all did well with colleges. I got accepted to Johns Hopkins for Chemical and Biomolecular engineering and Cornell for Biological Engineering. I would like to do premed in college and then go on to medical school hopefully. Both schools are giving me very good money and the location is not an issue in either college. Which do you guys is the better option??
Serioulsy dude…you’re asking which school is better for pre-med?
With the tiniest bit of research, you’ll learn JHU is probably the top school in the world for pre-med.
i know that was my initial reaction, but then i read a lot on how there is like zero grade inflation in Hopkins and that it brings down your GPA. I also read that Cornell has a very good pre-med program, but their medical school is in NYC
Hopkins! Medical school is close by, so you will have more access to shadowing opportunities. Cornell is a great school, though. Can’t go wrong with either, good luck!
thank you guys!! I was also selected for The Cornell Tradition, how much difference do you think that makes?
I am a freshman at Hopkins and I really don’t think there is grade deflation anymore here at Hopkins. The average grades given out for my intro physics course (physics I) was B+ and I believe about 40% got A- or above in that class. Also I would say most of the science courses are also pretty much curved to B/B+.
