Hey everyone, I was wondering how the Engineering program is at Johns Hopkins? Tehy sent me an application today, so I am thinking about possibly applying there. Also, would it be better if I applied SCEA to Stanford with a 28 ACT and 3.85 GPA, or wait to get my score up a few points and raise my GPA a few points as well, for RD? Thanks all. (P.S. I know my stats aren't stellar for Stanford, but I still have to try)

BME at Hopkins is superb, although it's very competitive because you have to apply specifically for that program. Civil/Environmental Engineering is also great, and its other engineering programs are decent.

Applying to Stanford with a 28 ACT will be fighting an uphill battle (unless you have a great hook), although not impossible. Roughly 75% of admitted students scored above 28; the middle 50% range is 28-33. Considering that both Stanford and Yale will have many more SCEA applicants this year, you may be better off raising that score a bit.

Thanks a lot man. I know its going to be tough, but i still am going to try. I will probably wait for RD then
