I was wondering from you guys what the journalism/communications schoool is like compared to schools like Mizzou and OU. I've visited UT and OU, and in terms of the communications buildings for each school, OU's Gaylord College of Mass Communications aesthetically trumps UT's school communications school. I know looks aren't everything, but they do tell a part of the story in how the university looks on the particular school.

I'm pretty sure Mizzou has the #1 journalism school in the country and they're also really prominent in broadcasting and photojournalism. I might be wrong but Mizzou is pretty high up there compared to UT's. UT's journalism school isn't bad, though, just not as good, I guess.

Ah okay. Thanks for the input! When I was in Austin, I got the impression that UT's school of communications was stronger in video, film, and broadcast journalism rather than print journalism, which is what I'm interested in. Any other opinions?

Print is dying...which is why UT doesn't focus on it.

But UT Communication's strength is and will always be RTF. That's not to say the journalism school is bad, but it's definitely slanted toward the RTF aspect of journalism.
