What would my possible outcomes be if I decided to major in journalism communications and minor in archaeology and culture? The curriculum would be quite interesting, and one of the required courses through the archaeology minor is even a study abroad program. I've always wanted to study archaeology, even since I was in kindergarten! Would this be a pointless combination, or could I actually do something with this pair?

I wouldn’t say pointless; nothing is pointless. Knowledge in any area can be useful in journalism. Perhaps you could end up working for a magazine that deals with history or culture, or you could become a featured columnist for a newspaper, keeping readers updated with the field. If you love it, do it.
