I have been stuck on choosing between these two major for awhile. I enjoy writing and broadcasting and have been on this major since I was like 14 years old. I thought about a possibility getting into film and I like the aspects of it. I really don't know pros and cons of each major but I know that I would probably enjoy both. If I were to get into film I'm not quite sure what area I would study. I thought about editing or something that brings the motion picture or television show together. Hard to explain. But what are your thoughts about Journalism and thoughts about Film?

Bump! Bump!

I don’t know if you’re still looking, but sounds like you wanted to do both. You might want to look into Chapman University. You can do a double major or a major and a minor. They have an excellent program for film and TV. Here is their link. Good luck.

I think that’s a good combination. If the university you’re at has a reasonable amount of units for each major, though, try to consider doing the major/minor route; you’d still be able to study subjects you love but without the stress/pressure of the double major.

However, if the film and journalism programs are (sanely) doable unit & work wise, go for it!

Good luck :)
