Ok so I was accepted to IU a while ago and got my admit packet recently. I got the application for Hutton and the extra scholarships - if it says my major is "Journalism BAJ" does that mean I was a direct admit to the j-school? I don't know if that just means I'm on track to get into the J-school or if I was a DA. Thanks a bunch!

The answer is the same as for those asking the question in other threads about business direct admit status. If it says "University Division", it means you are not a direct admit. If it lists the school (such as yours does here), it means the direct admit status was granted and you are admitted directly to your program (in your case, Journalism at the Ernie Pyle School of Journalism).

Congratulations!

P.S. Last night, I was looking through the old World War II columns that Ernie Pyle wrote--very interesting! You should take a look if you have a chance--they can be accessed through the Journalism Department's website.

Thank you very much! I had seen those threads about Kelley, I just wasn't sure if it was different because Kelley is such a big deal and the DA option is pretty well known.

And I'll definitely check out those columns! Ernie Pyle was great...I visited his grave in Hawaii, I'm a total nerd haha. But thank you for the tip!
