Journey to Jordan- intensive Arabic study program- selective?

I was wondering if anyone had any information about the Journey to Jordan program- it looks really interesting but does anyone have any experiences/feedbac...would it look on my apps or is it a scam?

How selective is the program?

Also, does anyone have any suggestions for any international relations, language, politcal programs that are still open, good for apps, not a scam( meaning not an exorbant amount of money) ?

I already know about he Concordia, G-town, and Brown programs

Also, what do you guys think about Georgetown summer program? Is the lack of selectivity a detterrent? Is it a good program? Is it worh spending money on that or should I do someting else?

I want a program that both excites me but is worth the time( college apps)

and yes, I know I sound like a crazy resume hog, but, ask yourself, why are you on this website? LOL.

THanks!! I appreciate any feedback!!

Bump. I’m interested in taking arabic at gtown.

Don’t know anything about Jordan, but Journey to Jordan is NOT a scam–it’s funded by the State Department, and is now run as part of the NSLI-Y scholarships. As for selectivity, there were 1400 applicants for all of the NSLI-Y programs (which also includes some semester- or year-long programs). 550 were selected. 15 are going to Jordan. [Including me. :D]

Congratulations, lookbeyond! When did you find out? We haven’t heard yet about S’s application. Is that bad news or are they a bit disorganized?
