<p>Do people take the SAT in December of their jr. year, or is it better to take it the first time in May?</p>
<p>no that's what i did, and something surprising (fever) came up and screwed me over. Now i have to retake it next year cuz I'm doing SAT IIs in June, so i have to study over the summer. If I were you, study over the summer, take it once in the fall, and one more time in the spring you have to.</p>
<p>Thanks. By fall, do you mean October or Nov. or doesn't it really matter? I'm sure I'll want/need to take it a 2nd time and like you and everyone else, I'll be studying for AP and SAT IIs so I'm trying to space it out if I wouldn't be at a disadvantage early in my jr. year.</p>
<p>october or november is fine. then do it one more time in april/may, then ap's in may, then sat IIs in june. then you can retake whatever you want in the fall.</p>
