Did anyone attend yesterday's (June 1) Preview?

Yeah, I was there. I thought they did a really good job of covering a lot of information so quickly. Everyone seemed pretty nice and excited to be there, too.

If anyone has any questions about it, I’d be glad to answer them.

Can you please explain how the day was set up, like the order in which things happened?

thanks

I still have the schedule, the day went as follows:

8:00-9:00 Check in, Campus Resource Fair, and continental breakfast at the Reitz Union

9:00-9:20 Morning Welcome in Grand Ballroom

9:25-10:10 Academics & Success presentations

10:15-11:20 Campus Walking Tour

11:25-12:00 Gator 1 Presentation, Student Health Presentation, and University Police Presentation

12:00-12:20 Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution

12:20-1:25 Have lunch on your own and get Gator 1 ID card from Gator 1 Central

1:30-2:30 Specific college session

2:30- Departmental advising on your own

And that pretty much wrapped up the day. Overall, it was a great experience. A lot to take in, but a really nice time, too.

i attended, was great

i even spoke with an advisor and i will be having my major changed, in fact i will be changing college

the preview was good stuff

you attended tebow?

;]
cool, did you take the walking tour?

nah, I sat through the financial aid thing (I have Florida bright futures). Which sad to say is NO longer 100% paid for. Now it’s 92.1% (just gives me more of a reason to vote for anyone other than Charlie Crist).

Also, sat through the law preview.

All in all was good stuff. Plus from a distance the girl who gave the health insurance speech was hot xD

ah you missed out, the walking tour was pretty cool…went to the stadium and all.

anyway ya you were sitting too far maybe, she wasn’t that hot. ;]

Eh, I can walk the campus anytime

Should you carry your overnight bag with you to check in? Or just leave in the car to retrieve later?? Thanks

You can do it either way. It seems to be more convenient to bring it with you in the AM when you check in. That way you don’t have the long walk back to the parking lot to get it at 5:00. It has rained for most of the Previews, so that wouldn’t be fun because it is a long walk. They said it’s a 1.2 mile walk from Reitz to the commuter parking lot and back to Broward. The walk isn’t bad but definitely avoidable if you just bring your bag in the morning. We left the bag in the car and walked. It wasn’t bad and they definitely give you enough time.

this thread is NOT about freshman preview.

tebow- and your point is? it’s still a valid question.

Tebow, it was not clear on the OP’s title or post that June 1 was a Transfer Preview.

What’s my point?

June 1 was not a freshman preview. Who cares if the question was valid… It was misplaced.

Kinda like a transfer student asking to be “chanced” in a freshman thread.

But… But… It’s a valid question.

@tzais it’s cool. I was just clarifying so the thread didn’t go off on a tagent.

tebow- feisty geez. it’s OKAY. calm down.

whats wrong with chance me posts from transfers in a freshman thread?

other than it doesn’t make sense, nothing.
